Left: an April 11, 1891 advertisement in the Scranton Republican for Casey Brothers Wholesale Liquor Dealers, 216 Lackawanna Avenue..." This firm is known in the most remote corners of Northeastern Pennsylvania, and has the reputation of carrying the BEST and PUREST DOMESTIC and IMPORTED GOODS." Printed along the top edge is, "A. J. Casey, President; P. J. Casey, Secy. & Treas." There is a stamped paragraph stating that if Congress increases the tax before shipment, it will be applied to the price.
